October is National Women’s Small Business Month, and we are shining a spotlight on some of our local small business clients.
Today, we’re talking to Ashlee Cunningham, owner of Salty Hair Collective in Falmouth.
Ashlee Cunningham, a Falmouth native, loves to make her clients feel beautiful and confident. She’s been a hairstylist since 2008 and joined The Hair Lounge team in 2015.
When the opportunity came up to make The Hair Lounge her own, Ashlee took the leap and became a business owner in 2020. Thanks to the pandemic, Ashlee and her team had to pivot quite a bit, including doing hair in parking lots.
She persevered, transforming the business into a salon specializing in beautifully crafted lived-in color and extensions on medium to long length hair.
“As a stylist, I’m obsessed with natural looking believable color and seamless extensions,” says Ashlee. “I take inspiration from how the sun naturally changes hair. I pride myself on a graceful grow-out. I believe you should feel beautiful from the time you leave my chair to the time you return.”
Today, Ashlee has renamed the business Salty Hair Collective. She and her team work with clients from across the Cape, South Shore and New England.
