Your deposits at The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod are fully insured, fully protected. The first $250,000. per depositor is insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. All deposits above this amount are covered by the Depositors Insurance Fund of the Co-operative Central Bank.

How do I switch my accounts to The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod?
Thank you for your interest in becoming a The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod customer. The first step is to visit one of our branch locations and establish a new account. Then for your convenience we offer a The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod Switch Kit which will assist you in moving your accounts from your previous banks and make any other changes necessary with your payroll department, vendors, etc. At any time you may call a Customer Service Representative at 508.568.3400 and we’d be happy to assist you.
When are my deposited funds available for me to use?
In most cases, we will make funds available to you on the same business day we receive your deposit. Please review our Funds Availability Notice for complete information.
How can I reorder checks?
Checks can be reordered online here, or by mailing the reorder slip located in the last booklet of checks to: The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, 25 Benjamin Franklin Way, Hyannis, MA 02601, or by dropping off the reorder slip to any of our branch locations.
How do I make a deposit after the bank closes?
Signing up for direct deposit eliminates the stress of getting to the bank on time! If you are signed up for Online Banking, you can also download our easy to use Mobile Banking App and quickly make deposits using the mobile device’s camera. Deposits can also be made through any The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod ATM. We also accept deposits by mail. Bank-by-Mail deposits should be mailed to: The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod ATTN: Mail Teller 1470 Orleans Road East Harwich, MA 02645-2143. A receipt will be mailed to you after your deposit is made. For our business customers, we offer night deposit services at all of our branch offices, please inquire to sign up for this service.
How do I arrange for Direct Deposit of my payroll check?
After your checking or statement savings account is opened, you will receive our routing number and your account number. If your employer participates in a direct deposit program, simply provide this information to the human resources or payroll department at your company. It may take a few pay periods before the direct deposit begins.
How do I set up Direct Deposit of my Social Security check?
After your checking or statement savings account is opened, you will receive our routing number and your account number. Simply contact us, to request an enrollment form or visit one of our convenient branch locations.
What if I lose my ATM/Debit Card?
In the event that your card is lost or stolen, during business hours, report it to The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod immediately at 1.800.641.1100. If you lose your ATM/Debit Card during the evening, on the weekend or on a holiday, call our 24 hour hotline at 1.800.472.33272.
Does it matter whether I choose ‘debit’ or ‘credit’ when I use my debit card?
Some merchants will have a preference, but in most cases the choice is up to you. If you choose ‘debit,’ you will be asked to enter your PIN to approve the purchase. If you choose ‘credit,’ you will be asked to sign a sales receipt as your approval. In either case, the transaction is presented against the balance in your checking account.
How can I avoid ATM fees?
While The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod does not charge ATM fees for Positively Free Checking, Positively Direct Interest Checking, Positively Premium Interest Checking, Positively 50 Plus Interest Checking, Positively Free Business Checking, and Positively Business Interest Checking when you use another bank’s machine, that bank might charge you for using their ATM. This can be avoided by looking for an ATM in the Allpoint Network. As part of the Allpoint ATM Network, The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod customers have surcharge-free access to over 55,000 ATMs. That means no matter where you are in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico), Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, or Mexico, if there’s an Allpoint Network ATM nearby, getting cash is free and easy! Just look for the Allpoint logo or, better yet, use the Allpoint locator or mobile app to find the nearest Allpoint ATM. Another way to avoid ATM fees is to request “cash back” at merchant locations. This will save you from stopping at an ATM.
